When we live a life of obeying God’s law, abundant blessings are always in store for us. For this reason, within the festivals God established since the age of the Father—such as the Sabbath and the Passover—there is always the command, “Do not forget, but remember and keep them forever.”
The Bible says that those who keep God’s law in all ages will be blessed as the righteous, and that those who violate God’s law will be condemned for rebellion. The reason the Israelites were taken captive to Babylon was the result of not keeping God’s law.
“[W]e have not obeyed the LORD our God or kept the laws he gave us through his servants the prophets. All Israel has transgressed your law and turned away, refusing to obey you. Therefore the curses and sworn judgments written in the Law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against you.” Daniel 9:10–11
“He follows my decrees and faithfully keeps my laws. That man is righteous; he will surely live, declares the Sovereign LORD.” Ezekiel 18:9
